Delete your account
Last updated:
This page explains how to delete your PurrCal account and its data. PurrCal for iOS and Android and the website at https://purrcal.com are operated by Maneko AI LLC.
1. Whether you have an account
PurrCal only creates an account when you sign in. Your own days, dates and settings live on your device and require no sign-in, so if you have never signed in there is nothing on our servers to delete: removing the app clears your local data.
2. Delete it in the app
Open PurrCal, go to Account and tap Delete account at the bottom. The app lists what will be deleted and asks you to tap Delete account once more. Your posts in shared countdowns and spaces, your mood and your status are hidden from your friends straight away, and the app signs you out.
If you signed in with Apple on an iPhone or iPad, the app asks you to confirm with Apple and requests that PurrCal's Sign in with Apple access to your Apple ID be revoked. You can also remove it yourself at any time in your Apple ID settings.
3. 30 days to change your mind
Your account is deleted 30 days after you ask. Sign in before then and the app asks whether to keep it; tap Keep my account and everything stays as it was. Until you decide, the account can't save changes.
When the 30 days are up we delete everything listed below and email the address on your account to confirm.
4. Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email support@purrcal.com from the address linked to your sign-in, with the subject "Delete my account". We use it to verify that the account is yours. Once verified, we permanently delete your account and its data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
5. What we delete
Deleting your account removes the following from our servers:
- Your sign-in account: its identifier, and the name and email address received from Google, Apple or your email sign-in.
- Your journal: its notes, photos and voice memos.
- Your cloud backup, your profile photo, the dates on which you used the app and the time of your last visit.
- Your display name, your memberships in shared countdowns and spaces, the posts and photos you uploaded to them, your mood and status, and your hugs and kitten visits. A group you own passes to its longest-standing member, and a group you are alone in is deleted.
- Your contacts in PurrCal, the invitations you sent or received that are still pending, the people you have blocked, and your phones' registrations for notifications, with their push tokens.
6. What may remain
Purchase records are held by Apple or Google, not by us, and are governed by their policies; review them in your store account. Companions you bought come back with Restore purchases on the same App Store or Google Play account. Copies your operating system placed in its own device backups are governed by Apple's or Google's policies. Reports about shared posts, profiles, statuses and shared countdown or space details are retained as moderation records, including snapshots, available photo evidence, the reporter and the reported person where identifiable. If someone else blocked you, that block stays on their own list. To finish interrupted profile-photo deletion, we may keep a small cleanup record after your account is deleted. It contains only storage references based on a hashed account identifier, timing and completion status; it does not include your name, email address, account identifier in its original form, text or image content. We remove the record after confirming cleanup. If an upload's outcome is unknown, we keep the record until the outcome is resolved so that a delayed photo can still be deleted.
